Although there are different genres of music, they are more which are penetrating into space. Music genres are today breaking free adding more elements to it. This is also happening because there exists a good amount of population who are out there to listen to the independent genres, breaking the traditional music listening behaviours.

Today we have Monjyoti’s start up Mysticjolts, whose music has a lot of psychedelic progression in it. All the covers he performs had a psychedelic touch in it. It is a type of progression that leads to an apparent expansion of consciousness, he says.
Music meets business
To grow as a musician in this space, every artist should join hands with the masters of strategies or be one themselves. Monjyoti’s blueprint on marketing his music is not a big deal. It’s simple.
He is working on two modules. One, doing shows in a large number. A musician needs to be heard and live music is one such opportunity where an artist is heard and applauded. Networking is the key, he says. He suggests all the musicians out there to just grab every opportunity that comes his way because that’s the right start.
The second module is, creating music. Fresh and original. The job is just not done here. Before hitting the studio for the recording, he would play it several times in front of the audience to understand and set the sentiment right. Go back and tweak it to make it better.
If the crowd is already requesting you to play your original, then it’s time to hit the studio, record it, shoot it and couple it up with the right distribution strategies to hit the scale.
This approach of Monjyoti has helped him crack tough cookies and is only leading him to the better.
