They have a huge list of influences. Ananth largely is influenced by Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Pt Bhimsen Joshi, Mohammed Rafi, Sam Smith & Sonu Nigam to name a few.

While Gl
en is deeply influenced by artists like John Mayer, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, and a lot of 80’s and 90’s musicians. These artists have influenced their musical perspectives deeply and have given them serious songwriting, production and performance goals.

Meet Ananth Nagarkar, he’s a singer-songwriter and rhythm guitarist from Bangalore, and part of an acoustic duo alongside Glen D’Souza who is the lead guitarist of the band.

They usually play jazz, blues, R&B, acoustic, pop & Bollywood during the
ir shows. They experiment a lot and choose to play many genres.

A serious deal
“When I first got compliments about my singing and when I was given opportunities to write and record songs for Corporations. But the biggest of them all, was when I first realised I could make sensible songs of my own. This happened one morning at 4 am as I was strumming a random chord progression on my guitar. I got the complete hook along with the lyrics for one of my songs. After subsequent trials- I seemed to enjoy it a lot! I experienced a deep sense of involvement and self-gratification. That’s when this seemed like a serious deal”, says Ananth.

They met
Ananth met Glen at work. Glen had once told Ananth that he would play the guitar. They jammed for one of their shows and didn’t go great. Only after performing together for a while now they have been able to understand each other’s music.
