Way to Bangalore

Whether you’re in a blue funk or just vegetating in the couch; great music can really make a world of difference. Staunchly believing the same is Noel Reuben – a promising 21-year-old Mysuru-based guitarist, who is making waves in the music scene with his unadulterated alternative and pop rock music.

After performing early this month in the city, the young musician is well on his way to making a mark in Bengaluru. Heavily influenced by alternative, alternative pop and contemporary from the 90s and early 2000s, Noel’s music is intricately unique with notes that strike an immediate connect. We get chatty with the musician who shares the inside track with us...

While he made his first on-stage appearance only in 2014, Noel was always musically inclined. “I started playing the guitar when I was 10-years-old. I’m self-taught and learnt the basics from tutorials online and reading up. I was extremely shy, and hence never really played outside my bedroom those first few years! It was only later on that I started performing on stage and playing with bands,” shares the young artiste who has done over 25 gigs (including solo acoustic sets as well as live shows with The Reuben Brothers, his alternative rock band.)
